We’d like to introduce ourselves
Who we are, our background and expertise, and our involvement in the Bodyfashion industry in the broadest sense of the word.
Cube Events B.V. was founded in 2014 by Helen Ypma. Since then, Helen has worked part-time as the Manager of the industry office and part-time as the Manager of the entire Cube Centre.
Mathé Nouwen, Helen’s partner in both business and personal life, has also been involved in organizing Bodyfashion Days since 2010. Mathé contributes his expertise in stand construction, electrical setup, and additional insights into technical work and renovations. During the Bodyfashion Tradefair Belgium, Mathé will be primarily responsible for the stand construction and facilities.
Helen Ypma
Where it all began.
At the age of 17, Helen began her career at the Dutch Fashion Institute, the Netherlands Textile Convention, and the industry organization Fenecon. After more than 8 years, Helen joined the World Fashion Centre to work with various brands, eventually moving to the RAI Amsterdam exhibition and conference center as a Project Manager in 1986. Here, her passion for trade fair organization blossomed, and she made her first connections with Bodyfashion suppliers.
At that time, Promotion Projects organized the Bodyfashion Tradefair and managed the Bodyfashion Promotion office. Since 1992, Helen has been directly involved in this, ultimately becoming the Manager of the industry office in 2003. From this office, she organized “Lingerie Week” for many years, as well as design competitions and numerous other promotional activities for the entire Bodyfashion industry.
CubeCentre Almere
Where Bodyfashion is central.
In 2006, a dedicated buying center for the bodyfashion industry was established in Amersfoort. Since then, 75% of brands have set up their own showrooms, and trade fair days are held within the Bodyfashion Center.
Since 2014, the Bodyfashion Center has been located in the CubeCentre in Almere, where Bodyfashion suppliers can welcome retailers alongside numerous fashion brands. Twice a year, the Bodyfashion Days take place at the Bodyfashion Center, hosted directly from the showrooms.
